Our Commitment to the Community

St. Mark’s Camogie & Ladies Football

At Fanagans, we are committed not only to offering the highest standards of service and compassion but also to giving back to the communities in which we are located.

Supporting Local Charities

Every month, our staff contribute to a charity fund, which the company matches. Together, this fund donates thousands of euros each year to a wide range of deserving causes.
Our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) committee also plays an active role in local life, participating in Tidy Towns projects, neighbourhood schemes, and partnering with charities on special initiatives. In recognition of this commitment, two colleagues from our Tallaght branch were nominated for Tallaght Person of the Year in both 2023 and 2024.

Investing in Youth and Sport

St. Kevin’s Killian’s GAA Club

We believe that investing in young people is investing in the future. Since opening our Tallaght funeral home in 1988, we have proudly supported local sports clubs including:

  • St. Mark’s Camogie & Ladies Football
  • St. Kevin’s Killian’s GAA Club
  • Thomas Davis Ladies Senior Football

We also sponsored the installation of a water harvester, fitted by Tallaght Community Council, to support the watering of flower and plant boxes throughout Tallaght Village, a lasting contribution to local biodiversity and community pride.

Dundrum Arts and Cultural Festival

Building Stronger Communities

Fanagans Dundrum continues to support the Dundrum Arts and Cultural Festival and the Rosemount Family Resource Centre.

In 2025, we also funded a “Planting for Biodiversity” project at Our Lady's National Schools in Ballinteer, helping children learn about nature and sustainability.

National Partnerships

We are proud of our long-standing relationship with the Irish Hospice Foundation, a national charity dedicated to improving the experience of dying, death, and bereavement in Ireland. Each year, we support the Foundation’s Living with Loss events, which provide comfort and guidance to those navigating grief.

Celebrating Together

In December 2024, Fanagans hosted its first Christmas by Candlelight concert at the Church of St. Laurence O'Toole, Kilmacud. Nearly 1,000 families attended, raising over €6,500 for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (Kilmacud) to help local families in need. The evening brought the community together for music, reflection, and festive cheer. Highlights from the concert can be viewed in the video below.
