Fanagans Funeral Directors support Rosary College in Crumlin

Fanagans Funeral Directors have recently donated funds to support the Rosary College fundraising programme

This is a secondary level DEIS school in the Crumlin area who have suffered from drastic cuts of 40% in Government funding over the last seven years. The funds raised will be spent on an ‘Accelerated Reading Programme’ which is a computer package designed to encourage reading and raise literacy standards amongst students. The school library will also be upgraded to ensure the school as the most appropriate and up to date support for students.

Commenting on behalf of Fanagans Funeral Directors, Fintan Cooney, Manager, Fanagans Kimmage said: “We are delighted to support Rosary College in Crumlin who do tremendous work in raising academic standards and who give students the opportunity to access third level education. We believe this is a very worthwhile investment allowing the school to purchase vital resources for young students in the Dublin 12 area”

Jean Doyle, Principal, Rosary College stated: “We are extremely grateful for the support we have received from Fanagan Funeral Directors and indeed their enthusiasm for this important project. With the cuts in Government funding we would not be in a position to improve the reading and literacy supports in our school .This type of support not only reduces the risk of unemployment but also ensures that our students can lead meaningful and fulfilled lives. We would like to sincerely thank Fintan Cooney and the extended team in the Fanagan Group”.
